AI nuclear armageddon

I usually load my missile cruisers and subs with guided missiles. I also put at least one tactical nuke with every major fleet. Both guided missiles and tactical nukes are very useful with naval warefare and amphibious landings.

Tactical nukes if used properly can spell doom for any rival civilization who cares about global warming when the game is almost over at that point anyhow.

Does SDI intercept nukes for everyone or only for the civilization that built it?

The SDI protects the civilization that built it. So if I build an SDI then Monty tries to nuke me MY SDI has 75% of intercepting. If I nuke Monty and he has his own SDI he can intercpet it

does sdi intercept nukes fired at a civ's units in neutral lands? I'm thinking of just putting 2-3 tactical nukes on 3 sides of my landmass, the sides that enemy fleets can approach from

if sdi can't intercept those nukes, then that's a very easy way to defend yourself (I've never been attacked from the sea in bts so far, but I saw the AI go for island barb cities with 10 destroyers and 5-6 transports full of units - if all it takes to defend yourself from that is 2-3 nukes, I am in!)

I don't know. When I have shot AI ships in neutral land. I haven't had nukes intercepted. I think SDI only protects the area within a Civ's borders.
