AI pacifists

I'm playing on Chieftain level still, so it may be due to that, but I've noticed that the AI civs never wage war entirely on their own in my games. They'll start waging war on each other once I've started the ball rolling via military alliances, but otherwise they are content sitting around for thousands of years in peace. Has anyone else noticed this?

I did not watch this kind of behaviour. I played also chieftain and my civs are fighting over hundreds or thousands of years against each other, but some of them much less furious.

I think every game is different...my couple of games were just like Kino's.....it seemed like it was all about me.....war only when i was involved, etc....

But i've heard a lot of stories that are the exact opposite, so there is just a lot of variety in the way games can proceed....a good thing.

Try the harder difficulty levels. You will be hard presses to go through a game without conflict. Lots of conflict
