MC from the Oracle it is.
Turn 57
- Switched to pottery (5 turns) to allow us to actually get MC from the Oracle

- Switched the build in New York to a barracks - CR I promotions will come in handy for the planned axe rush, and Washington can build it's worker AND the oracle faster than NY can build just the Oracle.
Turn 58
- worker done in Wash, start oracle
- did some MM in Wash to stop growth and maximize hammers. Had two workers build a mine on a grass hill to up the hammers even more.
Also saw this guy, but knew I couldn't really do anything about it (yet):
Turn 59 IBT
Lizzy switches to Buddhism.
Turn 61
- Stonehenge was built IBT
- Started research on Writing
Turn 64
- Boston finishes it's monument and I start an axeman (to quick-build from the chop about to come in)
- NY finishes barracks and starts an axeman
- Wash has barracks due in 1 turn, axeman in the queue
Turn 65
Got an event:
- Boston grows to size 2. Mine finishes near boston, chop finishes the axe, barracks is due in 9.
Turn 66
- NY borders pop, we gain back some territory from Joao
Turn 68
We get:
And immediately:
- Start research on AH, to hook up the pigs near boston when the borders pop (about the same time AH will finish)
Turn 70
- Boston finishes barracks early due to a chop
Turn 71
- worker hooks up deer 2W of NY
DeGaulle says hi:
So here's our current status:
Save is attached, I figured this was a good place to stop. Our SoD is well on the way to being a huge menacing force, we're churning out axes like mad. I wanted to stop here because:
- Not sure how we want to pursue the rush: one big push, or DoW-capture/raze-peace, DoW-capture/raze-peace? If it's the latter we can probably declare in 1-2 turns. If not we need a bit more time, and I didn't want to idle about if we do want to go ahead and attack.
- There's ANOTHER settler of his (and he already has 5 cities) on it's way out. I'm thinking we should DoW to intercept it, but didn't want to make that move if it was too early.
- Do we need to build ourselves some settlers, or are we fully focused on the axe rush and acquiring territory through conquest?
- Do we want to build forges for the extra hammers and happy, or not waste the time (4 turns Wash, 6 turns NY)?
PS - the worker 1W of boston I had planned to build a road to the pigs, pasture that, and then build a farm on the grassland next to the city (was a forest I chopped). I think I started a farm first, instead of the road - oops.
