I'm experienceing a HUGE problem in my C3C game. All the lables for buttons are either offset or wrong. The Start Game button is "Barricade" the Load Game button is "Quick Start" the game date (i.e. 3750 B.C.) has been replaced with "Nov."
This appears everywhere in all my games and is a major hamper. I might re-instal, but I want to see if I can fix it.

I am having same problem, with my civ 3 conquest. In unpatched version (1.00) texts are fine.

But once I patch the game, menu gets messed up and time ("4000 BC" gets replaced by "nov"). Civilopedia works fine tho.

I have tried to reinstall the game (deinstall, clear registery, reinstall), but once I patch same thing happens.

It sounds like your labels.txt file is screwed up.
Maybe copying (before patching) and replacing (after patching) labels.txt file would work?

There might be some differences in the labels.txt file after patch. But yes, try that.

Think the problem was with my disc. I tried a re-install, no dice, tried a copy/patch, no dice, but the problem was fixed when I used an install from a *ahem* less than respectable source*ahem*.
