Alpha and Omega

Is there a particular reason that the game never showed me any animation that my city was being attacked in the Omega game?

Thats one of the disadvantages of turn-based games. You wont see the turns of the other players. I guess as I'm the last in the row I'm the only one who sees the computers moves.
My advice: watch the log every move, because its the only way to monitor the actions of the other players. You'll see attacks there, too.

one of the advantages of turn based games, you have the time to check EVERYWHERE in your field of vision for any 'incursions'.
this is my downfall during solo games, just want to play so fast that I miss things.
saves sent to castle

You're right snow. Thats what I like about the pbem's - I always spend a lot of time for just one turn and it is fun ;)

On to sv110.

We are probably going to have a slowdown here. I'm going out of town, Sat morning to Tuesday.

I can bring this laptop with me, perhaps, and maybe can get access somehow Sunday. But, after Sunday morning, I'll be primitive camping, until Tuesday.
