Altar/Tower Viewable Progress, i.e. Space Ship

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but is it possible that as the Altar is being constructed we could view its progress. The same could be done for the Tower. I was also wondering if anything could be done to add an improvable throne or palace. I remember in old civ and also in SMAC your palace could be improved once benchmarks in score were achieved. I don't remember if it was in civ III or not. I never wanted to suggest this before for fear it might be too difficult for something so small. After seeing the media pack, I now believe it's possible.

The game has benchmarks already. Once you get largest empire, most advanced, most powerful, etc. It could also occur with certain techs or trophies. Since some techs grant great people, then that might be a time as well. I always liked a treat for doing something notable in the game.

Well, there is already trophy room code in place, so find your favourite mod-modder and get nagging

I wouldn't want to bother anyone. You guys have done such a phenomenal job with this game and I don't want to be an irritant for something I hope the team still enjoys. The only reason I still play Civ IV is because of Ffh. I just always thought it was strange the throne room and palace were not features anymore and that viewing the Altar/Tower would be nice. Anyway, great job and Ffh rocks my face off.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you actually were nagging I think it's a fun idea, I loved the throne room. Just informing you that it should be possible, if you could convince (i.e. "nag") some modmoder to do it.

I wouldn't know where to begin. Should we talk first and start out as friends or should I just go for the gusto and ask them out. I understand what you mean about nagging them, but I would feel like a turd for doing that. The only modders I have paid attention to are you guys, David Allen, and Psychic Llamas. I just hoped by putting it out there someone would go "Hey, that random guy who's been lurking on the forums for three years realized something. Since we have beaucoup talent, we should forgo our real lives and implement this and he can continue to use what we have made for his own enjoyment". Something like that anyway.
