Alternative religions

Does anyone know a mod for religions where they are more 'wester' for example. replace taoism with protestantism and/or confusionism with reformatism. i think this would be great since there are much more 'western' civilizations than civilizations from the far east.

I tried to do it myself editing the religion files, but it didn't work very good.
It's for warlords by the way

More Western religions? In the West, maybe Maybe have a look through Creation and Customization, there have been a few religion mods so there might be one to your taste.

I looked through the creation and customization, but there where not the additional christian religions i am looking for, more fantasy religions like fastfoodism and stuff like that.
I'm not sure how to do it myself in Warlords.
Or it is easy for a prof modder to make this mod?

Adding those religions could open the way to scenarios of christian reformation, spanish inquisition

I think they made a good choice by making all religions equal in all manners. Religion is FAR to touchy to be viewed objectively.

i guess you're right magfo, i don't want to offend anyone or place one religion over another.
but what i mean is when i play a european pre-made map with realistic civ placement i wanted to include more realistic european religions, taoism/conf'ism/hinduism are not that much present, so that's why i wanted the alteration.

there's a mod that allows you to add religions without removing others (though I've not tried it yet). I intend at some point to add Wicca, and maybe Satanism into my games.

I'm pretty sure there is a Mod that does have Roman Catholicism and protestantism.........I downloaded it in December...It wasn't my cup of tea...

Unless they upgraded it, I would assume it would only work with Vanilla Civ IV

As I have said and have been saying from week 2 of playing the game...
The Greco-Roman religion deserves to be in this game
Why?
Lets see off all the leaders the following are followers of it:
Alexander
Julius Caesar
Augustus Caesar
Brennus (remember the GR religion was extremely tolerant, when Rome expanded, its pantheon expanded)

The following were most definitely influenced by it
Hatshepsut
Ramesses II
Ragnar

Think about how many GR temples are in this game too

That's funny. When Gandhi was asked what he thought of Western Civilization, he thought it would be a good idea.

Anyway, I think they did a good job with religions. There's plenty of space for inquisitions (Theology - no spread of non-state religion) and religious wars/alliances in this game. I know they have scenarios where you play in the mediterranean, and you have everything from Egyptian polytheism to Greek Polytheism to Zoroastrianism, etc... That's all pretty fun.
