Always reloading or never?

Saving and reloading has been a popular way of playing many games. In civ3, this can also greatly reduce the difficulty of playing. I believe everyone has some period that he must save and load to study the game. But, my question is, after being sure that all the important aspects of the game have been studied, is here anyone who never play this trick again in his/her further games? Or, keep doing this just for fun?
When I see many of my elite units killed in one turn and realize that turn is not good for attacking, I really want to reload my autosave to change the result.

I reload only when I make a mistake. Most of them could be fixed by CRPMapStat, and I really should use it. But, ATM, I often reload near the beginning of the game when a key city goes into disorder and throws off my whole plan.

I don't reload if a city goes into disorder - that can be prevented. But if I make a misclick, give a civ 300 gpt instead of doing a real trade, I'll just use an autosave. I always keep Preserve Random Seed on as well.

im a reload addict.

@ Punkbass, surely one turn of disorder isnt that bad??

It is when you've MM to the Nth degree and only have a city or two, one or both of which may be Settler/Worker Pumps. Every turn counts in the early game. I really should get CRPMapStat, it would, in the long run, save me way more time than it would cost. Interesting how laziness works, eh? ;)

Thanks for replying!
In some games with no reload, I just found myself more peaceful. The cost of war is too high in those situations. Usually I started wars only when I got into modern age and have a strong army in hand. It was then I feel deity level is so tough!

The only time I reload is if the game crashes. I have, however, got out of many games either because I was losing too badly or I was winning too easily.

Sometimes I reload, sometimes I don't, and for various reasons. Most often I reload after I see something happen on-screen which turns the game into a sure loss. Sometimes I'll save, play the game for ten turns to see what would happen if I did this, then back the game up and go do what I was going to do originally. Once in a while I'll chain-reload when attacking with an elite unit because I really, REALLY want to finally get a leader. :)

(My worst-ever reload session was on some random turn when one of my elites popped a leader. In the heat of battle I forgot to save the game, leader died the same turn, then I chained about 47 reloads trying to get that same elite to produce that leader again! :) )

i reload only in cases of a miskey and then i am still very upset about it and so sometimes i even let that go. Reloading is a very evil sin, this comes from a former reload addict. Of course, I fully support learning experiences where the reloading is for experience purposes and not to get a win.

I'm still learning to play. I'm more comfortable as a peaceful builder and at Chieftain level can ALWAYS get a cultural victory, so I save at an early stage so I can go back and try warmongering with a similar start. Even then, I find it hard to force myself to fight when I know it's not necessary.

I reload only when the game I'm paying isn't meant to be serious (mostly games on Regent or scenarios) if I intend to play the game intil the end, at the peak of my ability, then I slow down and take my time and don't reload (these are mostly at Emporer level)

I used to reload when I pressed the wrong key, such as moving my settler towards a stack of barbs instead of away, but since I started playing the GOTMs, where it's not allowed, I've stopped doing it in even non-GOTM games. Other than that I only do it in the rare circumstance of the game crashing.

i don't reload, used to at the beginning but learnt to take my time

actually just remembered I reloaded a game once due to a bug a few games back, i was going for a quick conquest (ended turn and was down to the last civ who only had a settler, it settled immediately and got all the initial deity bonus military units / settlers / workers again (bad bug)

I reload when a conquered city flips. I hate city flipping, mainly because of the garrisoned troops that are lost. I reload, remove the troops from the flipping city, and then try to retake it on the next turn. What a useless chore, but I have vanilla CivIII, so I can't turn it off in the game setup.

I sometimes reload when my first warrior finds the opponents's only city defended by only warrior. Then I attack and reload if I don't win.
