Always the same ****ing starting point...HELP!

Hello to all civ fanatics,

I have a big problem regarding the strating point, when i play the huge world map. The problem is, that whenever i start a new game my unit always starts in the middle od South America....

...This problem started after i apply the new patch f1.29, before that, computer picked my starting point randomly, which suited me better.

If somebody had the same prob, please help...I'm desperate

That map has a pre-set starting point. You would have to go into the editor to change that. Simply delete all the starting points.

On a random map, you will still start in a random place.

Y, i know that, but since i only enjoy playing world maps...especially huge w/h 15 oponents. I guess this is some kind of a patch bug..

...strange that nobody has the same prob?

I found the same thing, Matic007. And I can't recall if it was the medium or huge world map that came with the game, but it ALWAYS has a barbarian sitting on a mountain next to your settler who kills the 1st worker.

...that's why you let the barb sack your city, making it disappear, so your worker escapes unharmed.
