Civ VII single player suffers from the same problems Civ VI did

In Civ6, I haven't seen a single keshig from the Mongolia AI. Let me know if Civ 7 can properly use its unique units!

Where immersion is really destroyed for me is when the AI stops advancing to victory, and suddenly it feels like all pressure is off (e.g. not using banker, not starting science projects). It’s a small-ish issue, since it only affects the end game, and my goal remains to win as fast as I can once I get to modern, but I want to feel some peril, and to have to ask myself, “do I need to interfere with Ben before he wins on science?”
I'm not necessarily always trying to win as fast as possible but it's important for me the counterplay in the endgame and the attempt of the AIs to try and get the win tbh! (and/or prevent me from getting it)

Building enough units and using the unique units really isn't a problem for civ 7's AI. If they are land units or ships that is. While I have seen AI planes, it's very rare that I saw them attack with them.

AI also doesn't seem to build many siege units
I've seen the opposite where Xerxes spammed so many trebuchets, it created a no man's land. Knights and lancers could barely last more than 1 turn when sortied before dying.

The AI does use aircraft, just not very effectively. It seems to like bombing cities and not so much the army that's invading their cities, in my experience.

That's good news, and up to modern age there is no really any proper anti-artillery measure, if we take out the ancient glorious ram; attacking units have no means of protecting
against artillery-ranged fire. In modern Age, conversely, a stupid Ram is not particularly practical against cannons, but it is probably better than nothing against drones swarms...
ANYWAY ( Drone swarms still do not exist) if AI does use Bombers against cities and not Armies is one thing that should change to enhance AI defence capabilities...
(in C3 your Army would be always be targeted by AI bombers) it's the Attacking side the more difficult to pierce. If Human player decide to wipe out an enemy army with Air fire, how is supposed the Ai to cope with that= No Rams, No Flaks, No enhanced armor magical bonus or magic Mammoth skin for shields etc. Ai is screwed, and will likely decide to just never even form an army and try to get out of its walls because of that.
