Am I the only person who is mad?

I love when fanboys accept lower quality products because well, they are fanboys. Just because a game is good, doesnt mean we shouldnt ask for a bit more. I have no problems agaisnt poor graphics as long as it doesnt infringe on gameplay. From what I see (again, I could be proven wrong eventually), the graphics are too crowded and dark to my liking.

Any good company listens to it's clients feedback. A thing the gaming industry doesnt do enough IMO because people jump on games the first day it comes out. At least there are a few gems out there like Paradox. God bless em.
im not some "fanboy" if thats what your getting at, and it is right to ask for more, but just because one person has a problem with it doesnt mean firaxis is going to change the whole game. (BTW i dont want this to become a debate, just for the record)

this game blows. I am starting a boycott Civ4 movement. Anyone want to join in? I also plan on suing these bastards for making me waste my money on it in the future. Screw the civ4 developers for making me buy this game in the future. I won't even play it though, but you can bet your life on the fact that I will complain complain complain.

That's ok... it's your opinion.

But care to explain why, in detail?

I bet you $10,000,000 civrules that this guy also hated the legend of Zelda wind waker and when it came out he could not stop playing it!

Man, I am soooo suffering a case of deja vu right now. These very same arguments were cropping up ALL through the earliest part of 2001, right before Civ3 came out and, though the game was not IDEAL, I have found myself playing it for more hours than ANY other game in my collection-especially after C3:C came out. Civ4, OTOH, actually looks at least as good-if not better-than C3:C was-so I feel certain that, even if there are parts which I probably won't like, there is gonna be so much that I DO LOVE about it that I won't be able to stop playing the game!!!
What these people also have to remember is the diversity of opinion about what MAKES a great civ game-even at places like CFC and Apolyton. If Firaxis tried to seriously please EVERY SINGLE FAN, then the game would end up being a horrendous mish-mash that NO-ONE would buy!!!!
Lastly, as I said previously, there is still several months before the game goes on the market, and I remember how much civ3 changed in a similar period of time. So I say: be patient and stop whining until we know for CERTAIN how the game looks and feels (which we will probably know around 2 months before release). I can assure you that, based on previous experience, any complaints made then will register, and might well be dealt with in upcoming expansions!
At least, thats how I see it!

Yours,
Aussie_Lurker.

yes, i too am a bit amused at these complaints -- "i will complain"- lol that will get u far- i am sure as the developers go home to their wives and kids they'll think of u complaining instead of like their bills and family and such.....lol...- those that do not do - criticise and complain- it is the trademark of the non creative-

I can almost swear I heard a back and forth argument like this before CIV3 came out...
