Ambassador to CDZ nominations thread

The nomination process isn't even required under Fanatican law!

As I read through the constitution, I was amazed at how bare it was!

So many key points related to the smooth operation of the game were left out!
And yet it has worked so well for so long. All it needs is some common sense and a team spirit. :)

Well someone :mischief: just copied and pasted it from the DG4 Rules, IIRC. :p
No I didn't! :p As so many people were fed up with the enormous rules of DGV, I made a constitution that was a lot smaller, and that took for granted a good team spirit and common sense. And it has worked well for a long time.

Thanks.

And about the constitution and setup etc: most of us have the "game-concept" as priority here, not the "mimmiccing of a government". For "mimmiccing of a government" I advise you DemoGame 5.

Then maybe you should change the name of the game?

I nominate Goonie as claener of the Fanatican lion and pirahna pits.

I afcourse second Rik for the ambassador spot. :)

I second Goonie as cleaner of the fanatican lion and pirahna pits. ...Seriously

I ask the mods to moderate two clear trolling incidents.

Magnus, I think you need to learn to disagree respectfully.

Relax, Goonie. They could have nominated you as dental hygienist for these creatures. ;)

Well DZ, it seems that this forum has very selective notions about spam, political correctness, irony, humor and so on, very arbitrary indeed :) When someone says I spam, and I see they do the same the next minute... When they feel insulted for humor and then they joke the same way the next minute. Lack of consistency is Embryonism :) I think humor is great, and people should stomach some irony.
However, flagging disrespect only to make someone look small, that is petty.

If I saw the same degree of perfection in pursuing new posters in other respects of the game as well, I think we would have done just nicely.

I think temporal appointment of Rik Meleet as the Ambassador to CDZ will be appropriate since Matrix also supports Rik as a candidate.

c. If the position of Ambassador to any nation becomes
vacant, the Consul of Foreign Affairs shall appoint a new citizen
to fill the vacant position.
Until the possition is officially filled I'll (= citizen Rik) will do the honors. It is more important now to act quickly than to delay several turns for someone official to be elceted / appointed.

As soon as the Consul of Foreign Affairs appoints someone to do the job I will resign the temporary Ambassador's function and that person (I hope to be that person) can immediately take over. My last action will be to inform CDZ about the appointment.

As Goonie so nicely pointed out; the "Ambassador" is appointed by the CoFA, but it seems the "temporary Ambassador isn't".

Yes, unfortunately our laws make no mention to temporary Ambassadors. One of the many holes.

In the MSDG, it would be the job of the Minister of FA to act as Ambassador until he appoints someone to do it for him. Perhaps we should adapt that?

:p It is ok, we can fix it. What I see is that when the game started, we only had about 5 or 6 active people. Now we have 10-ish, so the rules just need to be fixed.
