Please nominate the Ambassador to CDZ candidates for the upcoming elections. The post will be of great importance and I must note that the person in charge of this position must have active MSN messenger account and should be optionaly able to chat according to European schedule.

I nominate Matrix and Rik Meleet as Ambassador to CDZ.

We both have met CDZ members in Real Life (just 1 week ago).
Beam, Darnkess, Kryszcztof, smalltalk, Banzai, Jack Merchant, KingReno, Stapel, Schip, Shabbaman, ErikK and Propain. The relations between us and them is very good.

I second both nominations. But Matrix (as well as myself) is already an Ambassador being CoFA. So, it seems that Rik is the better candidate for CDZ Ambassador.

I would also remind that the CDZ is anarchist butcher wabbit community with very peculiar system without actual and functional government. They don't have official Ambassador positions as well and the Ambassador to CDZ can be contacted by any CDZ team member at any time.

The team captain is Anarres and current turnplayer is Kemal though the turns are played essentially by all team members similar to like it is done in a succession game.

Doesn't the FA appoint the ambassador?

@Goonie: Please, stop spamming all over the forum. This is nominations thread. If you want to discuss the current Constitution and laws, please use the corresponding threads or create a new one.

I decline the nomination. I prefer to stay minister of foreign affairs. :)

Someone is going to win this election so overwhelming...

What would have been the appropriate thread Mr. Almighty, omnipresent and all-knowing to pose my simple, yes or no answered question?

You are our President. Start acting like it. If a new citizen has questions about the workings of the government, you should be the first to help him, not put him down.

I second EMP and Rik.

Both great candidates!

Good, we are almost done here with nominations. It might be that it is best to start elections tomorrow.

For now, I think temporal appointment of Rik Meleet as the Ambassador to CDZ will be appropriate since Matrix also supports Rik as a candidate.

Well well well. Look what I dug up in the Constitution.

A little something called Article N.

c. If the position of Ambassador to any nation becomes
vacant, the Consul of Foreign Affairs shall appoint a new citizen
to fill the vacant position.

Lets start playing by the rules. akots had no right to appoint anyone as ambassador. It is up to the CoFA.

Goonie, you are right, this is the law, CoFA appoints, not the Internal Minister.

The position has not become vacant.

It is a new position and this appointment is crucial for the matters of peace and war at this particular moment.

Akots you are right, 100 %, and with the absence of Matrix nominating Rik, this is the only way to go. In fact, Matrix declined his nomination of Ambassador, which means Rik is the only candidate and wins by default. However, Matrix could have spelled this out.

The nomination process isn't even required under Fanatican law!

As I read through the constitution, I was amazed at how bare it was!

So many key points related to the smooth operation of the game were left out!

OK Goonie, we got a Mickey Mouse Code and a Kangaroo Court, this is not run by Anglo American Common Law, but "Dutch Common Sense". ;) hehe

In general, the nominations are indeed not absolutely required. But this is a rather specific circumstance. The matters are very pressing and important and we are not allowed to make a mistake here by electing a wrong person.

As far as the Constitution is concerned, you are not the first one who is raising the point. IIRC, Emp, myself, and a few other citizens have expressed a desire to implement a few amendments. It looks though that now it has come to the phase when we need to consider seriously a lot of procedural issues in the current Constitution. Including nominations as well and especially Ambassador nominations as well as issues of war and peace. I am currently working on a draft proposal that might cover the previous suggestions and will clarify a lot of unclear issues. But it is a huge task and I am sorry if it is falling behind the schedule. It might be better to wait for a few days and let me finish the work which we then can discuss.

Some important pecularities include, for example, a possibility of very fast movement of the game (1 turn/day) which does not allow substantial room for all legal procedures to be exactly followed.

Boo, hoo we didn't fallow the law. Who cares? It never said we can not have nominations, besides, we gotta know who is interested.

Well someone :mischief: just copied and pasted it from the DG4 Rules, IIRC. :p
