If you are shooting at a humvee, you are shooting at a military target - which is not terrorism - it's a part of war. Besides, a significant number of the detainees were not captured by U.S. soldiers, they were sold to the U.S. by rival warlords to settle ancient scores.

America declared itself an independant nation so they were soldiers of the continental army and they wore uniforms aside from the minutemen at lexington and concord. No one is challenging Iraqs independance and the palestinians turned down their nation. And the revolutionaries didnt purposly attack civilions.

Yes but they did march in unison with other uniformed soldiers and those who didnt have any couldnt afford them. Hamas on the other hand gets enough to clothe all their troops. You still havent adressed the civillian thing.

Indeed as said, when the rebels declared a war against England in the war of independance weren't you rogues and militants fighting against an unfair government? It's not always that simple, I can provide plenty of examples of militants fighting against government the US or the West supported, and a load more they didn't but won anyway, are the Mexicans or the Chileans not rightfully governed by rebels?
