Americans: are you scared yet?

You think President Bush is going to destroy civilization? I think you give him too much credit.
I don't think Bush will do anything other than what he's told to by his sponsors.
And I don't give him any credit at all.

I dont even think he plans on leaving office, what do you think of that? He thinks he was chosen by God, remember?

Oh, right, he's a puppet.

Doesn't that ridiculous diatribe ever get old?

Right, non-terrorists running around in the desert shooting at humvee's with AK's. "Really, officer, I was just having a little fun!"

If you are shooting at a humvee, you are shooting at a military target - which is not terrorism - it's a part of war. Besides, a significant number of the detainees were not captured by U.S. soldiers, they were sold to the U.S. by rival warlords to settle ancient scores.

Its not really war though. They are not an opposing country, they are a rogue force who target civilian and military targets.

Do you think it would be acceptable for me to start my own militia and attack a military base where i live?

Would you consider yourself justified if you attack the military base of a foreign occupier near where you live?

If you carry out an attack (and survive), that makes you a criminal subject to criminal laws.

If you are supported by the western policy of the day: yes, we'll give you weapons and see that you eventually oust whoever we believe is in the wrong, of course once you do you better dance to our tune, cause there are plenty of counter-insurgents we can supply if you don't. :p

As long as you have "the right [...] to petition the Government for a redress of grievances," that would be rather silly, wouldn't it?

Nations fight war, not rogues or militants.
Until they win and take over the state of course. Then it was always legitimate resistance to a foreign occupier.

Tell that to the American revolutionaries.
America declared itself an independant nation so they were soldiers of the continental army and they wore uniforms aside from the minutemen at lexington and concord. No one is challenging Iraqs independance and the palestinians turned down their nation. And the revolutionaries didnt purposly attack civilions.

Yes but they did march in unison with other uniformed soldiers and those who didnt have any couldnt afford them. Hamas on the other hand gets enough to clothe all their troops. You still havent adressed the civillian thing.

Indeed as said, when the rebels declared a war against England in the war of independance weren't you rogues and militants fighting against an unfair government? It's not always that simple, I can provide plenty of examples of militants fighting against government the US or the West supported, and a load more they didn't but won anyway, are the Mexicans or the Chileans not rightfully governed by rebels?
