I know that Rhye has stopped making updates, so this is kinda pointless. But since there are still modmods in development it isn't completely pointless.
My idea is that when you're at war with another civ there should be an option for the other civ to give you resources as part of their request for peace. I don't think it should expire with the peace treaty though (like the gold per turn does). I think it should only expire if they are no longer afraid of you or if they no longer have that resource obviously. Actually, come to think of it, I don't think the gold per turn should automatically expire after 10 turns either. There should be a way for civs to "pay" for a peace treaty with another civ that can last indefinitely like a resource trade does. We all know that it happened in real life a lot.
What do you guys think? I just thought of it right now so I'm sure there are angles I haven't considered but it seems to me like one of those things that should have been in the game from the beginning.
