So I've been playing this map on small as the Aztecs and have noticed the AI is acting differently and my normally smooth King game is actually proving difficult. I've noticed the default # of civs places them far apart with tons of room to grow before the become aggressive.

Anyone else notice how this map plays different? Any tips?

I found original maps like the new maps in the exlorer maps pack really to big one of these maps are:

Caribbean to the Bering Strait british islands , look it up.

Same with mesopetania or maps from america south america I thinx or texas they are all amazingly big compared to other maps and with a lot of room to expand

Kinda makes the game easier if you ask me

Ancient Lakes is one of the scripted maps, but if its anything like Great Plains; its almost entirely land.

Compare the number of land tiles there to even Pangena low water, and you'll notice a lot more space per civ.

Barbs also pop up a lot. (Barb camp formation appears to be a function of land tiles in FOW)
But if your playing Aztecs, you'll like it for the free culture; particularly if you have razing barbs on.
