Announce your new/updated Civ3 files for front-page coverage!

I've already asked the staff about the [file][/file] code not working in the main page. It does work in threads, though. Maybe it's because the files are not at civfanatics.com but at forums.civfanatics.com, and it is a recent addition to the database so it might have not been properly checked. I seem to remember it working when I did the last update, though.

Looking at the most recent update, the links that have been provided all work for me except for one - which is Big Bopper's Swedish scenario. It's linking to thread number 462650 instead of 463650, so that should be easy enough to amend.

The [file][/file] works if you click on the title at the top and go into it's own thread but, as reported, not on the main page. I'll report this (and the amendment to Big Bopper's scenario). Added to that, I'll ask for Etain's Wheel of Fire interface to be added.

Ex-officio, I'm including the Maurya series in the next announcement. Yoinks it is.

Including something without the explicit consent of the creator is a dangerous precedent.

There are many legitimate reasons to hold off - among them being a set is not complete, corrections are being made, the creator just doesn't want them announced ...

I'm definitely not speaking on Balam-Agab's behalf. It is worth noting that he has well over a dozen groups of material uploaded since this thread began, but has not posted here once.

Perhaps one of you could post in Balam-Agab's thread and suggest that he put it forward? He might not have noticed this thread.

I already did ask, and this is an argument that has already been had and has suddenly been resurrected by BM.

This has gone on to be discussed with the moderators in private again, so I'll thank you for not commenting until some consensus has been reached on this issue.

Worthy of an announcement. Yoinks!
Where's the interrogative?

How is it that you're privileged to indulge in PDMA about actions taken years ago, but no one is allowed to discuss the matter at hand?

As the party being fought over (), I feel i should step in. The reason nothing of mine has been posted here is a combination of forgetfulness and the fact that I almost never venture to the front page (my bookmark is to the C&C forum). On that note:

Thank you. :hatsoff:

None of which obviates the principle that it's up to individuals to choose whether or not they want their work announced.

Moderator Action: Please do not make accusation in public threads. It is trolling.

Sorry about the issues with the links in the last front page announcement and that it took a while to get sorted out. I'm happy to say that it is now resolved.
