I recently Installed the 1.21f patch for Civ3. To my Horror, whenever I tried to start playing Civ3, my computert would get ready to play the starting movie, and then, instead, re-start.
The Problem seems to be Active Desktop in Windows 2000 Pro. After this occured a few times, my active Desktop needed to be "restored" after "Restoring" my active desktop a few times and haveing the same problems, I instead left the active desktop "un-rerestored" (In essance, off) Civ3 then Ran beautifully with no problems. I then restored my active desktop and the same re-starting issue occured.
I then turne doff my active desktop, and wha-lah! Civ3 is playing just fine again.
