Annoying CS's

Yeah, I agree with the OP... 95% of the time I turn them off completely. Rarely I'll play a game where I want a diplo-win as an option. Then I'll crank them up 25% for the map. Then I'll usually regret it and promise myself that i'll never do it again.

I think they are ok but I usually cut their number in half (12 on a huge map) as I found them impeding on my growth and the A.I growth as well.

But they are very exploitable. for example you can usually use city state as a training ground for my troops, and in a marathon lenght game this can be obscene advantage. You kill most of their troops, leave an archer in the city and let the city and the archer shoot at your troops while hammering them with ranged units and let them heal back, rince repeat. After awhile you have troops with over 300 xp

I tend to avoid exploits like this - not sure what the point is when you're playing an AI. Might as well be using cheat codes.

That said, the game definitely needs to implement a "max exp earnable" for each encounter. I should only be able to get so much exp from having the same barbarian galley plinking away at me.

You can only gain up to 30 exp "from having the same barbarian galley plinking away at you." Once a unit reaches level 3, it can't gain xp from barbs.

I do agree that there should be some sort of limit when it comes to wars with CSs. Maybe a turn limit on how long a war against them can last unless they are allied with an AI you are at war with or if they have declared perma-war on you.
