Another Bush bashing thread

Is W really a religous right-winger?

  • Yes, he is.

  • He's a Christian, but he only agrees with the Christian extremists for power.

    Votes: 18 27.7%
  • No, he probably isn't even religous.

Dubya appears to me to have very strong Christian beliefts. I can respect that. However, I disagree with him (and the religious right) about where that faith comes into play in his duties as President.

In any case, I won't vote in a poll which is only slightly less slanted than a yes/no poll asking if Bush is worse than Hitler yet.

What a silly question to ask, of course he is. Every evening he spends about 30 minutes alone in his study with his Bible and his God. Every interview I've seen with him or somebody who knows him well (Dems included) always brings his deep faith up. That's probably why I like him so much, he's just like me.

Congratulations to the mod who changed the title of the thread!
:goodjob: Great job!

1)To be Christian is to be extreme right winger.

2)to support gay marriage is middle of the roader.

3)Ha. Another gay rights thread by Sims, which brings his count to 343,234,324,001

1)No, it is not. Not all Christians(not even most) are religous right-wingers. my stepmom, for example, is a pro-Gay Marriage Christian. Many people at my school are Christians, and I do not know a single relgious right winger that attends my school. Most of them a secularist left wingers!

2)Unfortunantly, it isn't. My point is that he doesn't care.

3)343,234,324,002!

I dislike Bush and what he has done during his presidency, I hope people of legal voting age do not vote for him. I don't want to troll, so I will just leave it at that.

I wonder how many threads sims has opened that has SOMETHING to do with Bush.

^no, i made one thread about the Death Penalty sbout 6 months ago. ;)

Okay, the point of this thread is to conclude whether George W. Bush actually cares about the religous right. From my research, I have concluded that he does not. He only throws them a bone every now and then to keep them from splitting of the Republican Party and forming their own. If he could get one more vote by supporting gay marriage, then he'd do so. He has, in fact, only proposed banning gay marriage to keep the religous right happy and to tkae everyone's attention off the war and his numerous scandals such as AWOLgate and his Adminsitration's ties toward Haliburton and him using ta payers money to fund them.
Maybe you will get farther if you actually told us what research you did.

To the point, I don't think he is on a level with...Pat Robertson. However, he does seem to be a mere puppet on the little things because Robertson and others have such a powerful lobby. I think Bush would be all for homosexual marriage if he were the president of the Netherlands or in a situation where most people would find it acceptable or just tolerable.

I think Bush would find it pretty hard to become president of the Netherlands........

if only because we don't actually have a president
