I came across this site, you can plug in your computer specs to see how well you can run Civ 5. I'm not sure how well this works, but it is different from the Can You Run It? site.

Game Debate - Check your specs for Civ 5

Here's what it says for my system:

This site seems worse in ever way - you have to manually enter your own specs, which is janky (it hard selected ATI though I had an Nvidia card and I had to refresh the page to get it let me pick Nvidia - THEN I had to click PROCEED to let me manipulate the drop down boxes to select my proc and card). The information is wrong, it claimed what with my 8800GTX 768mb; 4GB DDR2 RAM, and a QuadCore 2.83Ghz E9550 my machine would NOT be able to run Civ V (I find that highly dubious).

Also, the lay out is extremely poor - it's very busy and not clear on how to use the site. It's a fair attempt, but the other site does it better (though that other site needs to incorporate the Tom's Hardware hierchy chart for CPUs and Video - my Video card is higher end than some 5000 series ATI cards, but being an 8000 series NVidia it's deemed "low").

Yes, not quite sure how people people/sites keep missing this; especially when they're telling you whether you can run civ or not

Yes, that site is not exactly 100%.

The funny thing is that it says my CPU is not fast enough even when the number it prints is above the number it requires!

Same thing for me >.>

It shows my video card being subpar, but i can run Sims 3 at pretty high graphics quality, and i have a relitively new computer, so im going to go ahead and get it

That happened for me as well on Systems Requirements Lab. There was another site that computed things correctly, and said I'd be able to run it well past minimum and into recommended (and for the record I have a Duo Core 3.00 GHZ processor as well, so I wouldn't be too worried).
