Another XML error

This is the problem: I install the game, but when I put in the 2nd disc evrything locks up and I have to take the disc out. Now I have the Civ4 icon on my desk, I click it, tell I want to play, but it comes up with the following errors:

"Failed Loading XML file Assests//XML\GameInfo/CIV4PlayerOptionInfos.xml."

"LoadXML call failed for GameInfo/CIV4PlayerOptionInfos.xml.
Current XML file is:"

Any updates or solutions for this?

Edit: I've tried some of the links in other topics but it hasn't helped, I've also heard switching the audio devices somehow helps tho I don't know how to do that. But it just locks up when I put Disc 2 in which is what pisses me off.

OK, so I've gathered it might be similar to the "catastrophic error" some have been experiencing. So the neccassary action is to simply exchange my disc a bunch of times til I get it right?

Also, since disc 1 is already installed, would it be a good idea to manually delete the Firaxis Games folder?

Edit: Yeah I got new cipy today but the exact smae thing happened. This is complete BS. If anybody can help it would be awesome.

Yes I've had the exact same problem. Have tried five copies all on three different machines, what is going on?
