Recap:
Built some workers, we still could use 2 or so more though
I went with a second chop to get the Granary ASAP
Boston and Philly are about to complete Warrior, can be changed if needed
Land S of Germany and Rome is crap
Rome built a city way to its NE (our E) along the river
There appear to be barbs to the W as there are a lot of troops moving that way

The Save

I'll get a pic up a bit later.. RL is calling.

Okay, I downloaded the save. Don't have much time until the weekend, so you might have to wait a day or so.

Well, by looking at the land we know, it seems we've got the best land there. I am sure however, that our island will have many sources of coal, oil, saltpeter, and the such, considering the land. Thoughts?

Island? Aw. If we're an island then we're going to have to get to Map Making as soon as possible. The other techs don't even matter yet if we're alone on an island. We can probably sell MM (or get philosophy and MM, if we're lucky) on the other island(s). But at any rate, the contacts available on other islands would be more helpful.

The question becomes whether or not we want IW first.

Though I really should reserve my judgment for until after a pic arrives. :)

I've gotten a screenshot of the basic layout, but you can see more in the mini map.

Highlights of the pic:

-The Romans have settled to our E at the *.
-England is way off to the NE, beyond the Aztecs.
-Portuguese troops, at least 5 warriors in strength seen heading in the direction of the purple arrow, likely hunting barbs.
-Roman Settler seen heading along the general path of the E pointing red arrow.
-Roman workers seen heading NE, probably building a road to the distant city.
-Barbs seen near the paw print off to the NE, English and Aztec troops enroute to attack.
-I told you the silly Portuguese would go for that banana ;)

Um, it's not islands. It's continents... so it's two big landmasses and some islands. First priority is taking control of the island.

They'll be a walk in the park, unless during their lonely desert time they were building units. I say we bring more troops just in case. Which city first? Rome or the second one?

Okay, it's the weekend now, i'll do it sometime today, but first we have to get a plan (Picture coming sometime today)

Barring a drastic change in production, there won't be another Settler in the next 10 turns. So, I would suggest these priorities...

1) make sure that the Warrior-Settler combo pump gets set up and going (ie. mine 2BG's and get the pop up to 5)
2) continue to build up the military, targeting an early war with either Rome (our weakest neighbor) or Portugal (our strongest neighbor) ... my vote is to beat up the Romans
3) IW...IW...IW

Okay, the arrows show about which cities we should consider taking. I think we should start producing archers, while the capital continues the granary. This will halt expansion for a while, but it'll 1. Remove 2 Portuguese cities 2. End the Romans 3. Give us more room

Here is a picture, do you like how I have the cities currently set up?

Well, the Romans don't look like they could cause trouble, so I'd say lets stick to attacking the Portuguese first. :)

Archer production sounds good.
Washington Granary -> then settler , warrior, settler. (We can't just expand, we also need some defense).

Okay, so currently:

Washington - Granary -> settler -> warrior -> settler (on and on)
New York - Archer -> Archer -> (on and on until we have defeated probably both factions)
Boston - Archer -> Archer -> (on and on until we have defeated probably both factions)
Philadelphia - Archer -> Archer -> (on and on until we have defeated probably both factions)

The last three cities will build archers until both Portugal and Romans are defeated, no?

New York might want to build another worker after the current archer is finished.

But yeah, archers sound good. Just remember to make sure cities don't riot. :)

Well, only New York has a corrupted production square, and all 4 cities have 3 production squares.
