Any Good Idea In The Early Begining Of Deity Level?

first of all forgive me for possible mistakes in english language. you see i am greek.
i was just wondering if there is anyone having any good strategy idea on how to find the necessary land to built my cities in the early beginning of deity level?
for sure i dont mean to make war with the other civs. any other idea except making war??
keep in mind that i always take Greeks for my civ..
