I've tried to use Fraps to capture the "replay" of our multiplayer games to get it showed for all the people playing our games. But it just doesnt work.

So, is there any way to capture the short replay so people could really see how the game went, even if they were not in?

Probably any program that films what is on your screen. I don't know of any, but I'm sure there are some video programs that, instead of taking a screenshot, take a video.

Or you could take a series of screenshots and make them into a movie, but that would be tedious.

Fraps is just one of those... No idea why it doesnt work with Civ3, it has worked with all other directx-applications (Even mediaplayer!)

Guess I have to try some other programs... Anyone got any idea what I should try next?

Ainwood? Anarres? One of them, I think, has a replay viewer link in their sig. Might want to check the utility program subforum and see if they have it there.

I used to.....;)

I recommend that you use Dianthus' replay viewer, which you can find here.

If its a non-1.27f PTW multiplayer game, then you can use my one here. I haven't updated it to conquests or PTW 1.27f (yet). :(
