Anyone else play Civ 1 on a Commodore Amiga?

I've just got Civ 1 for the Amiga.

Is it the same as the PC version do you know?

I first played it on my Amiga 1000 before the DOS game even game out. I remember it being virtually identical to the PC version. If your computer had been upgraded to 1 meg of RAM you got the ocean shore animation...!

Oh cool. I know I have some 1meg ones kicking about (I have a stupid amount of retro junk). I'll check it out at the weekend.

i did start playing civ.1 with amiga in ~ 1992 (dunno)
the amiga was my 1st computer ever and civilization my first
(and only) strategy game -
i did play it with 3 disc drives first with 512kB...

later with an 2000er with an 52MB HD that still is working
but
i was lucky when i did 'get CiV.1.DOS running' in DOS modus in windows'95
on my first PC.
i did buy civ.2 when it came to stores
and quit playing it forever after a few games.

...still playing civ.1 after all those years... (now with win98se)

I played it originally on an Amiga 1000 with only 512K. In modern times I just play the DOS version in XP.
