I can't get it to boot up. I get the the screen where you choose the Direct X version and then it crashes after I pick without so much as an error message.

Note, I have been able to run it in the past, including BNW. This issue only started today I think (I played like two or three days ago or something). Is this a problem with the patch or are my files corrupted or something.

Try to "verify integrity of game cache". Right click the game and open properties in steam. There is a "verify integrity of game cache" button in the "Local Files" tab. This always worked for me when the game starts acting weird.

I haven`t had that particular problem, but I do have a problem that when I am disconnected from the internet in Offline mode and try to play, Steam always forces me back online after a few days because it can`t find a net connection.

Even if I go `Offline` in the settings, it still does this after a short while. This makes playing any long term game Offline away from the net very uncomfortable because I never know when I will be suddenly stopped from playing.

Why does Steam lie? Why is Offline not truly Offline? (ie when disconnected from the internet).

Are we so used to lies in this society that people now think it`s ok?
