I need to find a converter that will take bmp and convert them to pcx format without distorting the picture. Does anyone know of a good one?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I actually have irfan and it distorts my pictures as well. Is it my color scheme (24bt, 8bit, etc.,ect.)? What happens is I get a strange red shadow that falls behind and to the side of the normal unit. It causes it to looks as if a watermark image of the unit is placed directly next and ontop of the normal unit, making it look wierd. i'll post a picture of what it looks like.

The pcx file looks perfect to me ??

Anyway, I downloaded it and move your new icons before the last 8 so they will show properly in Civ3. I also added 2 additional new blank line for your future expansion ;)

I think that the unit sheet need to be an 8-bit images.

I've converted your first image to be 8-bit with the reserved colors on the right place.

Strangely Dark Sheer's units_32 looks distorted like mine unfortunatly. It looks normal in Paint Ship Pro, Irfan, PicSwitcher, or all the others ih ave except for in the windows imaging program that comes with windows. When I add it to the units section all the icons look, well weird, its a bit frustrating since when I ahve to add the Scud Launcher im not sure how i'll overcome this again. Gramphos's version works well though and doesn't show any distortion on the imaging prog. Thanks you two, and if I repost a units32 later you think you could convert it again Gramphos?

Well, the only thing I did was to bring it down to 8 bit colors (by loading a palette from the original file to get the special colors on the right place.)
