If I'm freezing myself for a game... its going to be for Civ VIII or so. I'd just give the directions to thaw me out in time for the first new Civilization release after 2025. If me and my boys are going into a freezer... I better a get a damn radical gaming experience when I am awoken!

why dont game companies say the release date is actually a week later so when they do release it, everyone thinks they are awesome

This reminds me of post number 9 of this thread where SirSaab says it reminds him of the South Park episode where Cartman can't wait for the release of the Wii.

Doesn't anybody remember what happened to Eric Cartman just before the Wii release? It's a bad, BAD idea. Who wants to deal with fanatic, Ostrich-riding future-Otters anyway?

No one got my Abre Los Ojos movie reference, oh well. There was an american remake with Tom Cruise if you are interested.

In any case, I'd just wait till civ20. It would surely blow civ5 away. Although you may find yourself unable to play it because you don't know the mind interface used in that year. I think by then computers will be able to read our minds, and we can move units with our minds. Although I suspect even then, a spearmen would defeat our tank.
