Hi!
I have the following system
IBM R40 Notebook
Pentium M 1,3 Ghz
768 MB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 32 MB (notshared)

I am looking for someone who plays with only 32MB instead of the required 64 MB.
The AoE III Demo runs fine on my system although it also requires 64 MB.

Thanks

Dell Inspiron 5100, PII 2.6, 512 RAM 32 meg Radeon 7500c, no faces, no background. It will load but not work. Alas.

You need remove 32 meg Radeaon 7500C and buy new one like Radeon 9800XT or better!

my work computer only has 32meg video card.. and it installed.. but theres no land and detail on some things is ****ty and its choppy.

id recommend using something better :P

Ge 5200 with 32 MB. Turned Graphics options to low. Playable, but moves very slowly.

I also have the Dell 5100 Inspiron with Radeon 7200C and 32MB. Will this game not run on my computer?!?! It is only 2 years old so I would be pretty upset. If it wont run, is there something I need to buy to make it work? Can you install new video cards on laptops?

I played for about an hour, never crashed, would run fine (accepting the lag on the movies) if I had the T&L. Everthing but forest is black and this is Peter the Great, can't read or view several things.

So it looks like the 7200c is no good. What do I do to get the game to run? Do I just buy a new graphics card? Can you buy new graphics cards for Dell Laptops or am I screwed?

With a Nividia Quadro2 mxr 32Mb with T&l it runs although the opening video hiccups and its a little choppy. Some civ is better than no civ though. So as long as your not running on an ATI you should be fine. I don't know about 16Mb however...

Really, you have my sympathies, especially since I'm afraid I'm going to go home and see the same thing. But right now, the only thing going through my mind is "Peter the Cheshire Cat" :D

You might have problems with that video card. The minimum that was listed on the forum here somewhere was a 7600. Everything else is OK though.

It's not the RAM, it's the Hardware T&L. IIRC, any Radeon before 7600 doesn't support it, and it's required for Civ 4.

The screenshot is totally unacceptable! Try getting it fixed. You (We) can't be expected to play such great game like this! New driver downloads? DirectX? Something? .... anything?

That is wrong according to the list posted on the forums and the sr test I ran.

I have the Radeon 7500 and the sr test told me I meet all minimum requirements for Civ 4, including T&L.

The sr test use the old requirements 32 MB instead of 64 MB
Firaxis changed the requirements last week and the sr test is thus old
I am sorry, I have the same problem
