Anyone plays both WoW and Civ4/3?

Played WoW up to about level 44 -- after swearing I'd never play another MMORPG again. Those first 30 levels are great fun, but beyond that I started getting flashbacks of my EQ / DAoC days. To wit: a huge time commitment for not much payback in fun.

And now, sadly, WoW seems to be going to way of other MMORPGs... time sinks, emphasis on raiding/gear, etc. Still, those first 30 odd levels are probably some of the best MMO action around.

I use to play civ3 nonstop, now days i play wow and only wow, until once every 2 months where i have no wow for a week or so and i play a few games of civ4... and sometimes go outside for a walk!

Pretty much play one at a time. Get bored with WoW, play Civ 4. Get bored with Civ 4, play WoW.

Although I have been playing WoW longer than Civ 4.

I do that too. WoW is great fun, but too much at once can spoil it for a good long while.

Though WoW looks like very good game I won't play it because it could ruin my life! :D

My sentiments exactly. I freakin' got obssessed with Maple Story to the point where I would just eat yogurt because I didn't want to drive away from the game to the supermarket. I didn't attend class for about 1.5 months. I don't want to know what will happen if I ever try WOW.

That's probably not good for you.
Don't pick up WoW; It will ruin your life.

Get WoW.

I've been a wowaddict for over a year... stay away. its evil and once you get addicted to wowcrack your life as you know it is over. :mischief:

I just won't play WoW, it'll go against everything I stand for! (Namely teasing my friends because their conversations sound so daft- OK so "I can't believe Tokugawa won't give me Open Borders, and the way Montezuma's been acting lately I'll show him what for when I develop Guilds!" isn't the standard conversation but it's better than "Wow I only need to fight that Blood Dwarf to gain an extra 2 levels and 30 silver to get the Scrolls of Achilowe, to allow me to cross the River Rhine to find the tower of Mages" or whatever the hell you do in WoW

Haven't played any other game than WoW for more than 5 minutes straight since I got seriously involved in an end-game raiding guild.

A "Hello" to those of you who remember me by the way.
