I've played Civ2 with AI since forever. I play and often win on the toughest level. Never tried an online / email / HI / game. If anyone out there wants a game and could talk me through the tech side of this, let me know right here.

Do i need the gold ed? Can i download it somewhere?

You can use this patch to upgrade it. Just remember that it's best to install civ2 twice and upgrade one version and leave the other one the classic version.
