Just wondering or curios if one is still going on
Yes, please share it with us,so we can steal shamelesslyI am perpetually (for a decade or so) working on my own mod, based on RevolutionDCM. It includes a gigantic overhaul of civics, recently a dozen or so new religions, a bunch of new buildings, units, and technologies, and a plethora of civilisations from, amongst others, Middle-earth, Alpha Centauri, Fallout, Rayman, Borderlands, Grand Theft Auto, 1984, and who knows what. I have been thinking of uploading all of this somewhere, because it could be useful for people who e.g. want inspiration for new civilisations, civics, diplomacy music, a lot of new religions (it's odd that for example Shia Islam, or Orthodox/Catholic/Protestant Christianity, is so seldom included in mods), or who knows what.
But it's not a total conversion, it builds upon Beyond the Sword as it is, and I don't want it at all to be as expansive as Caveman2Cosmos or such.
I mean, my entire mod is based on assets I scavenge from other mods, so if I can help you by ordering them / making them easier for you to scavenge yourself, definitely, whyever not! That is the power of a modding community.Yes, please share it with us,so we can steal shamelessly![]()
Just use the download database like the rest of us.What is the best site(s) to use for uploading total conversion mods?
I think there is probably a size limit or something. But a lot of it is just legacy reasons as well or the fact that it's easier to run rapid updates that way.Thanks. I thought there might be a limit on what could be uploaded here as some mods redirect to other sites for downloads.
I've got no particular preference in how extreme the mod goes in transforming the game, though I find that I do tend to prefer more extreme modifications (I'm willing to try just about any level, it's just a tendency.) I've taken a look at your C&C work and I don't think that's going to be something I'm into. How total are you talking about? I have a Command and Conquer themed thing in the works. Although it's slow going. And than you have crazy stuff like FFH and RFC that are just out there gameplay vise.
It sounds interesting, if a bit wild (in terms of the variety of stuff you've included). Have you uploaded it?I am perpetually (for a decade or so) working on my own mod, based on RevolutionDCM. I've taken a look and I don't think it's something I'd enjoy, but thanks for the response.I wouldn't say Earth 20/20 is currently total conversion, but next version could be depending on your definition
Fair enough. This said, I'd still advise keeping an eye on it simply because even I don't know where it'll end up just yet.I've got no particular preference in how extreme the mod goes in transforming the game, though I find that I do tend to prefer more extreme modifications (I'm willing to try just about any level, it's just a tendency.)
