...and here I thought I was about to strike the motherload! Hehe...
Anyways, yes, patches are free... and guess what... so are the mod-packs that add a lot to the game (like my Wolfshanze Mod for instance... a bunch of new unit graphics, new units, new leaders, new civs... all free).
