Argh my Mod crashes - resources again

Hello folks,

Yes I still play CivIII - my own Fantasy Mod - which I can't stop fiddling with :)

Its started to crash again. I added a bonus resource or two and a new luxury - now on Debug if you scroll around the map it'll crash - presumably when it hits a resource it doesn't like (a Bonus one) Also going into a city screen will cause a crash occasionally.

I know to put all Strat/Lux in the first 32 (new lux replaced a filler I added in) I deleted and reinstated all the bonus resources to no avail. Should I delete every resource and start again? I assume the order of the gfx icons has no effect.

Any ideas? Thanks
 
I'd start by identifying which resource is causing a crash.

First, create a map with small plot of land to host all of the players, and then farther away, (out of view of the initial start) put a tile with one resource on it. Then test this, and see if it crashes. Then move on and replace the resource with another resource, changing the terrain if necessary.

Repeat until you have tested every resource.

After you figure out which resources crash the game (it could be more than 1), look for patterns. Are they the last resources in the list? What type of resource are they?
 
Okay - created map with players well away from resources, made islands of each terrain type. Crashes caused by the two new Bonus resources - still - this is after I deleted all bonus resources and put them all back in with the two new ones actually in a new order. Baffling and very annoying. Tried something else, and switched the icon for a working bonus resource to the new one and bang. Now that crashes it. Copied icon GFX to a new position and tried that, worked. Added back in troublesome resource with new icon position - that worked. Did same for other troublesome one. No crash. No idea what's going on really just trying things out. May have fixed it but no idea why. Tried full game in debug and all resources present and no crash. Go figure. Needs a proper playtest - see if city screen cause problems, so may be back again. If it works there will be no more resource editing on this mod :)
 
Did you do the text entries for the new resources in the pediaicons file?
