Apparently, Armed Braves receive no defense bonus from terrain or fortification, although they should as defensive gunpowder unit
On the other hand Armed Mounted Braves do receive defense bonus from terrain, although they should NOT (since they are mounted unit).
This can be easily checked in Civilopedia and during play. Probably some typo in one of XML files were some value was swapped for these two units
