Armies

Hey, I just bought the game and am wondering... How do you use an army to attack? I kept building Hoplites and Warriors in one game but to attack I had to move them individually. Is their a way to make an army out of them? Also is their a way to organize my armie so I can ivade and march into cities? Also I have explored the seas but cant get out of my boat? Will I be able to?

The one of two ways to have an army is for an elite unit to win and then have a great leader show up. you move the leader to a city to then build an Army when an army wins you can build the milatary acadamy when you have the right technology. As for moving units off of the boats wake the unit when up are next to land.

To get out of a boat, just have the unit inside walk right out.

Try to move the ship onto land, any you should get a prompt whether you want any loaded units to disembark.

How do you load units into the army - I am a noob and it is probably obvious.... but I just can't manage to find how to do it.

to load an army all you need to do is put the units you want in the army to that city then you press the load button to load it in just like transports.

Armies can only be created in cities, but units can be loaded anywhere

Just an army tip: Make sure you put in units that are fully upgraded before loading them into the army. Once they are loaded, they can't be upgraded.

instruct him to build army
move troops over him and there will be "upload" option
add up to 3 troops and you have your army

You will have 4 troops in your army if you build the pentagon.

Keep in mind that when it comes to loading them into ships, the leader counts as a unit...
