Armored Unit Skins

May I ask you anything more?:mischief: as i'm setting up the texture of my Osorio EE-t1 on the the texture of Leopard 2A5... Could You make a skin of it with the brazilian camo? :D:mischief:

Ofcourse.. just on the Leopard 2 texture or have you modified it?

These are great T55 reskins... can you do a new skin for a Mali (or generic African-scheme) AMX30 based on Snafu's recent (and most excellent) model? (some sort of desert pattern instead of the default green of course).

Ill look into it Wolf ;)...

You can do just on the leopard 2. After i reduce a little on a side to put the treads of modernarmor (the only that i want to keep) as i made a composition of units from Leopard2 I reshaped the turret, from modernarmor i reshaped the body and introduced the sides of leopard1... but i'm setting up the uv to use only the one of leopard2...:D and i have to modify the wheels cause the original has only six.
The image is the work in progress... but i don't like the texture i use... it's only to test of what i'm doing with the uv
and it looks too much brilliant.

Okay that should be easy already have a template for the Leopard 2 texture.. cant wait to see the unit when its done...

I hope soon... but the uv transformed crashes the game... even if it makes no problems with nifviewer and nifscope... Cold it be cause the uv is not full set up?

I really dont know.. my experience with nifviewer and nifscope is limited at best.. so dont think I can be that big a help on that part...

Insted of the Leopard texture how about this one (see picture) ofcourse ill make the camo to fit it.. maybe you will need more boxes for more parts of the model but thats easy to add.. could that be usefull or is it to much work...

... It was my intention at the beginnig before i began to set the uv... The turret is already set (it's the right texture one) the body i've had to set. and the sides (which is the part without box if i've understood what You mean) i'm setting over the sides of the body ... now i think that is only a trouble for You... But maybe i will ask You for the Tanque Argentino Mediano :D that is a composition with the turret of leopard 1 (re-scaled down) and the body of a reshaped mechanized infantry... (which will be the marder... i'm reshaping the little turret of snafusmith's amx-30 for this 3rd unit)
... But if You'll do.. the right side of the turret hasn't the 2 boxes. :)

By boxes I meant as exsamble the side/top of the boxes on the turret or any thing thats sticks out from the model.. (see image 2)

SORRY, LAST THING, as you made it then... this is the texture i'm making the tests... i paste the treads of modernarmor so the base is more tiny then the highness in the original leo2.dds ( to let space to the treads leo2a5.dds+treads of modernarmor.dds=512*512):... I send all the folder of my work with the nif included the texture is named modern_armor_256

Ive pasted the track and moved the boxes from the left side of the turret to a seperate location...
Sorry but in the old way I had to set the uv only of the body and the sides of the treads.... With this i have to set of all the unit... that is a troubling work  ... No i've just seen better... by the way the treads on a sides are more easier cause i've not to change the uv se of the originals...

sorry for making extra trouble for you.. just wanted to give you the choice.. to put the tracks on the side would be imposible without moving every thing around...
:) ... I reduced (rescaled with Paint shop) only a side, of the measure of the treads, then pasted the leo5 texture over the modernarmor texture... in nifscope it was more easy to reset the uv in the texture if they are on the same direction, otherwise i have to set the uv in 3ds with the meshes before importing in nifscope (as i made with the body) ;) with this procedure the trouble is (for me) with the parts that are perpendicular with the ground. I see them as a line and i have to open the uv... and they mess up in divided triangles... for sure there's an easier way to do... but i don't know how  (the rotate funcion doesn't turn it on the axis perpendicular to the ground).
It's me that has to be sorry with You! it's a my gap.
