  • +15% :c5production:Production towards military units. +10 :c5influence:Influence with all known City-States when you expend great people.
This tier 2 tenet you can take early on and accrue extraordinary amounts of influence over time. Granted that no city state has been conquered by this point, one great person nets you a total of 160 influence, and yes it is dispersed between all 16 CS - however, expending 3-4 GPs gives enough influence to become at least friends with most, if not all of them. In my opinion, this is by far the best diplomatic tenet there is. Needless to say, it's also ridiculously strong in combination with Tradition and Artistry.
So, what's the general consensus on this one? I personally think it would still be strong at half the influence it currently gives, but I'm biased as I've only taken this tenet along with Artistry recently.

I take it very often as my first tier 2 tenet. Its such a low opportunity cost source of influence, once you take you are guaranteed friendship with everyone. With to the glory of god it gets really disgusting

Tyranny: Can bully friendly City-States. Doing so decreases the Influence of all other Civs with that City-State by 25%, and increases your Influence by 25%.

Do you really think it's better than this? Sure that's a T3, but it's much better for getting and maintaining alliances which is the important factor. Friendships are weaksauce.

Honestly Autocracy is so freaking fun and cool now!

Honestly I consider the 10 influence just ok.

At this point in the game, it’s not unusual to already friend all cs in the game. And to snag allies it takes a lot of influence, often 200 or more to flip a cs to you. 10 here and there is nice, but it doesn’t change the game or anything.

So I think it’s a fine tenant not OP or UP

Thanks for the answers, I guess I'm just not used to playing that late into the game generally.

If you aren't fighting wars, you can be friends with most CSs anyway just from the random quests.
15% military production is worthless as far as I'm concerned. You can buy units if you need to, but why would you need to as freedom?
And it does nothing to overcome the 900 influence Germany or whoever has with half the CSs in the world.
I would start a 4th tree before I take this.
