Yeah, hi. I'm new to the Demogame, but I enjoy reading some of the threads posted in previous Demogames. I'd like to be involved somehow, but I only play C3C. What format will your next game be in? C3C or CIV4/

hehe.. didn't expect you to ask a question. I made this thread with the intent of posting this link with a main page news post. I have the news post all written up and everything, but I'm having trouble finding a mod to post it. Figured anyone interested in the game, but wanting to know more could use this thread.

As croxis said... right now it appears to be BTS, but as I have listed in the tasklist we should probably finalize that at a later date. I would personally prefer civ3, but the version of civilization has never mattered much. So I'm up for anything.

Any excuse to procrastinate is a good one!

The Democracy game is where, through the forums, we create a mock government to play a single player game of civ. Another way to look at it is that we become the civ we are playing.

You "play" this game by participating in the forums at whatever levels you wish to participate at. It can be as little as just voting for the next president (or if Faction based rules are used, which party), to as involved as role playing and running for office.

I'm going to expand on what croxis posted above. As he mentioned it is entirely forum based. So you "play" by participating in discussions on the forums. This can be anything from proposing ideas, creating a roleplay narrative, running for office, etc.

How it will work we are still largely deciding on. Check out this thread for the discussion on what our ruleset/constitution will be for the next game. However what croxis said is the basics that will not change.
