Asset file hinting at future and/or cut content

So that means we get 8 wonders in that pack?

Gur-e-amir seems like a solid bet.

What asian wonders do we currently have???
Sigiriya would be cool

Agreed

Well maybe because if they add a wonder for each civ they add guaranteed (well unless it already has one), they could as well make four ones that are in areas that are already covered. India, Japan & China for sure have more wonders i guess. It seems likely they'll probably add Sassanids at some point and more ancient Japanese civs, maybe also more modern Korean civs. I suspect the same for Indonesia maybe.

The only thing I’m disappointed about is lack of Viking content

There is no way Iceland isn't our new incarnation of the Viking civ, the only other Icelandic entity I recognize is Björk, who would certainly be a glorious leader but not enough to carry the entire civ on her back.

By the way, fun fact, Leif Erikson himself was born in Iceland, and I think civ7 is fantastic opportunity to include him as a leader (he wasn't political leader of any sort, just explorer). Given the fact Iceland has been kinda the most "exploratory" of Norse countries and given its major (if not hegemonic) position in terms of Norse literary sagas, it would be bizarre if it wasn't Norse Iceland.

So I expect aforementioned bonuses, naval unique unit, and some bonuses to sea resources and cold climates.

What would the wonders be for Iceland, the Pirates & Maori?

The Tongan wonder in the game suggests Tonga would be antiquity. We have Hawaii for exploration and the Maori leader leaked is a very modern leader which suggests Maori could be the modern age civ, i suppose (tho not certain). Really happy with Tonga & Maori, so i hope it really is future content.

Well with Sayidda and Battuta, It's lovely to see new variety in Muslim leaders for the first time in the series.
BUT, as with a LOT of other Civs, they're missing their iconic leaders. No Saladin? Sad days.

Ottomans are a must-have, for a sensical Arab line.

Pirate Republic would be very fun although a little non sensical for the main game.
Conceptually, the Pirates would have to evolve into a real Civilisation and that would just be weird.
Makes more sense for an CS or Scenarios as others have suggested.

Very happy to see Iceland. They're totally in the same boat as Scotland from the last game, in that they're really not a Civilisation but the variety is always appreciated.
I always like to see Civs that can survive in harsh conditions (snow, desert). Plus, imagine volcano, hot spring bonuses and fishing bonuses. Inoffensive in my opinion.

Elephant in the room, I imagine the atomic era is a leftover from development. If they come with a new era, their best option is a Contemporary Era with no Civ change and highly technical, tactical, diplomatic late game for a change.
They can take a leaf out of Civ5 late game tension perhaps.

I'm wondering if they plan on doing extra Ages that don't also have a Civ switch. Like a half Age transition; you get four new victory paths and a soft reset of units/relationships/cities as per the Age transition, but you instead get a variant of your existing Civ designed for that Age.

I.e., in ten years after five expansions and fifty DLCs, we'll have eight Ages - Antiquity I & II, Exploration I & II, Modern I & II, Future I & II, and you only swap to a new Civ four times instead of eight times.

Man what's everyone hate for the idea of new civs in a 4th era. I understand people are up in arms about wanting to flesh out the oh so important "pathways." Like man I'm here for the historical flavor as much as anyone and would love hella pathways. But give me 4th era civs!

If you think about, Caribbean pirates historically did. After they were controlled by the colonial navies, they just fussed and became part of the culture of post-colonial nations such as Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba and even the USA and Colombia. In a sense, they did "evolve into a real civilization" in real life.

I'm not opposed to a 4th era, but if it is a medieval era between antiquity and exploration.

Maybe the fourth era will be a DLC that you can disable if you don’t want to play it, without necessarily adding new civs to it. If that’s the case, I wouldn’t mind, since the Modern Age is currently quite incomplete.

I just don’t want another civ transition—two are already enough. Not to mention that most civs that would be introduced in a fourth era wouldn’t be very appealing.

I wonder if they could add new Ages that don't change your units as an in-between Age. Literally called Eras instead. You don't lose your units and there are other techs to pad out the tree. You could slap eras into the Ages by locking techs and then you wouldn't need to switch.

They do need that "One more turn" button still

The medieval era is already part of the exploration age?

A water wonder pack also shows up in the files, assuming it could be added with the 3 newly revealed characters
Wouldn't it just be the Bermuda triangle one?
