Asset file hinting at future and/or cut content

I remember a pirate mod for Civ 5 which was great fun. I'm not opposed.
There was also an official pirates scenario for Civ 6, which was fun and I wouldn't mind a repeat of. Although a single player option would be nice, I liked the concept of multiplayer scenarios in 6 but was not a fan of them being exclusively multiplayer. Sometimes it's fun to play against other people, and sometimes it's fun to just chill and take the game at your own pace.

I wonder if they could add new Ages that don't change your units as an in-between Age. Literally called Eras instead. You don't lose your units and there are other techs to pad out the tree. You could slap eras into the Ages by locking techs and then you wouldn't need to switch.
Early and Late Antiquity, Early and Late Exploration, Early and Late Modern

I'm super excited for
- Ottomans coming early: the game really needs them
- Tonga and Maori: together with Hawaii this means we'll have full Pacific evolutionary line! Who would have guessed that
- Sayyida al Hurra: very interesting and desreving character, from Morocco, fits many civilizations, plus second Muslim character also being woman :D (anti woke losers shall cry a lot)
- Atomic Age: we knew 4th age is coming, but it's very interesting it's called "atomic" instead of "information" age, so I guess it covers the period from the end of ww2 till today, with no focus on futurology?

Mixed feelings on:
- Two more Anglo-Saxon leaders
- Iceland, I've never been very interested in it, though it's also fresh take on Nordic civs
- Pirates: I'm torn between "this is stupid" and "this is fun"
Honestly they coudl easily get away with an Information Age after too.

Yeah the amount of anglo-saxon leaders is getting ridicilous, i agree with that.

Can we stop trying to divide the pittance of Civs we get into MOAR AGEZ and try filling the ages we already have until we DON’T have the most ridiculously small Civ count at game start Civ has ever seen?

- Two more Anglo-Saxon leaders
Whina Cooper is the English name of Hōhepine Te Wake, and she's Māori.

As far as the civs themselves I'm not totally surprised if it turns out to be true. I mean Pirate's Republic and Iceland are about as expected as Nepal and Bulgaria were in my opinion.
I do wonder if Iceland would be Exploration or possibly the first Atomic Age civ?

Well i think the logical pathway would be: Norse -> Iceland -> Sweden (for modern age)

But yes it's possible they'll add Norway or Denmark for exploration age.

Yes, I was originally thinking Kalmar Denmark could pull that off. Iceland was never on my radar, but Firaxis continues to surprise.

This probably would be Iceland's associated world wonder (which i now think would be modern), so maybe it's going to be a modern civ. (Hallgrimskirkja) Other contendors would probably be something more semi-natural like what Machu Pichu is to the Incas but i can't think of anything like that right now. Natural wonders for Iceland wouldn't be a problem at all, but we need a world wonder.

Yeah the amount of anglo-saxon leaders is getting ridicilous (& egregious & offensive), i agree with that.
Even by a generous definition of Anglo-saxon (the white people from England one) , there is currently a whole one Anglo-saxon leader in the game (Franklin). Lovelace is coming later this year but not here yet (two, eventually ) and Teach may or may not be added based on partial dates (maybe three).

Americans already have three (though one is shared with France) and France the same (though two are shared with America and Germany).

Black and Maori people are pointedly not Anglo Saxon, and neither are Frenchmen who fought for an English colony.

They might have not realized who Whina Cooper was. If they had I don't think they would have said that. Curious that the file uses her English name, and not the Māori name she was born with.

Well maybe i overreacted and Blackbeard seems like a nice leader to have in the game, despite him being anglosaxon. Just hope that by the end of the development cycle, the other parts of the world will get some love too, because it seems likely they'll add more leaders from America or England.

On that, we agree.
