Assistance required

Since gettin BTS I've had to adapt a fair amount of my strategies, I've become an early attacker, i used to wait for grens/infantry for attacking, using my technological and numerical superioirity.

I was doing well on my second try as Byzantium, but I feel like I've hit a dead end, please load and play, I've been trying for hours to survive in this game.

I'm not a newby, but the problem is I'm the only Christian nation, and I'm surrounded by Muslims, the backstory in my game is i got a few earyl wonders, and eventually got to Catas (which are FANTASTIC BTW), steamrollered over Genghis Khan, (a 12 strength cata against an entrenched Archer is damn fun to watch, catas even tear apart spearmen, tehre only "counter" Genghis had.)

Anywas, Genghis capitulated, (during the war i also fended of the Incas, and just after this Shaka conquered the Malinesse, forcing a capitulation.)

Now originally i invaded the Mayan Empire, took a few cities, then wham! Incans invade, meaning a two front war, i manage to get peace with the Mayans, then the Zulus invade, with a VAST VAST VAST army, i mean three stacks each as big as my Cata armes combined.

Ican find no way to continue this game, if i invade a Muslim neighbour the other Muslims attack me, even if i do nothing Shaka attacks and i can;t stop him. Is there something I've missed or is it just hopeless?

I would love to help but unfortunately I don't have BtS yet. My only advice is to pull back and defend in concentration. Maybe that's suicide, maybe it'll work.

lol, the irony was not lost on me. ( I did think the fact that i converted the Mongols to Christianity as a simliarly funny.)

I was using the choose your own religion feature, (which is really good i think and will use in all my games to avoid the whole Buddhist Roman invader things.) (and it makes a nice change to actually see later religions having an effect, and Buddhism and Hinduism being the last two religions founded.)

I've been considering a new idea now actually, whipping a new army from the capture terriories of the Mongols, and then "liberating" them back to him, problem is one of them has three military specialists, and another a stone deposit, so i don't really want to hand them back.

I tried mustering all units i could for defence, I had like 20 longbows in the first city they attacked, but it was no use against the killer Zulu/Mali stacks. They even countered the Cata with there many many many elephants (words can't express how much i hate war elephants now).
