Hey guys,

I have been trying out the Assyrian with their op catapult replacement but I didn't understand how their Unique ability manifested itself.

I am definitely positive the Americans were ahead of my on the tech tree but no new Technologies was granted.

Is this working as expected for everyone ?
Can anyone show me a screengrab of how it is displayed on the screen ?

Thanks,

It has worked as expected for me. A tech window (randomly chosen among available options I think) literally just pops up right after you take the city.

It actually was quite amusing for me. The first city I took out with Assyria was Venice, removing Dandy from the game, and the first notice I got upon taking the city (removing a capital, removing a player, etc.) was that I had discovered Sailing.

Be careful you just didn't miss the window. I thought the same thing when I was playing them today but then noticed I had a new tech. It literally pops up as soon as you take the city, so its easy to skip over.

Does Treasures of Nineveh work with CSs? I played as them on launch date for about 100 turns, and when I conquered Hong Kong I got a free tech. It was not from any ruins.

Don't think CS should count, that could be a bug.

Regarding to see if the enemy has any techs you don't have, just check Trade Routes available.. but as I think the choices disappear upon war, do it turn before you declare a war.

It makes sense for CSes to count - they have the same tech level as the tech leader. Maybe in that case (I didn't try taking any CSes on my Assyrian attempt) they're treated as having the same techs as the tech leader?
