Go for it. I knew war was emminent since they didn't want us having that mountain (Does it have a name yet?).

"The Moutain Wars".

If the result = "Yes" ; I'm in favor of sending an official declaration of war with the save.
Oooh... when I read that, I got tingles! Declare and send! What will be the wording of the declaration?

The time is right for our Golden Age. And nothing else.

How are we so confident in the minimal power of 9 Ancient Cavalry and 2 MIs? Don't you think C3B has a little more than that? I wouldn't even attack the AI right now with what we have. Plus C3B will be getting the Lighthouse, so we will have to spread out the MWD(Mighty Warrior Defense) to include Iron Island(where no defense exists!)

I am changing my stance from No to Abstain, but we need to make the right moves with our Golden Age and make darn sure not to help launch theirs. I hope you guys know what you are doing.........

I have broken the silence concerning the DoW. I believe with them going for the Lighthouse, that we should kill their warrior right now (to get our GA), sink as many of their galleys as possible and go for a heavy production to MI and horses to attack.

Our FP will come into existence next turn, thus all cities will gain the benefits of it--before they finish production! Only the capital and TF will miss the benefits of the FP, and TF is producing it, the capital does not gain from it anyways.

As for thier heading for Iron Island...I believe that offense is the best defense, if we sink their galleys before they get anywhere near Iron Island, then they will not be able to attack it.

They are probably planning an attack at our Iron Island with the help of the Lighthouse!

Attack!

Oh, and if Goonie has the time, please write a nice declaration of war to send to C3B. ;)

I also suggest we have some mobile defenders on the Iron Island, and increase the size of our Galleys. We must sink their fleets at see, before they can land anywhere.

NO !!
Don't send it to C3B !!!
It's fine to write it, but don't send it. Instead post it here as:

I want to write it down in the email to C3B that holds the save.
That way, when they get the turn, they read the email and see that we've declared war on them.

If this poll wins a "yes" vote at least ...

Donovan Zoi makes good points here. I was also a little disappointed when I saw the number of warriors. I mean, one of the reasons to attack is because we have too many units, but actually the reason we have too many units is because we have too many warriors. :undecide:

But perhaps the units need to be looked at in another way: one gold/turn for every unhappy face becoming content.

In that perspective every warrior we have is useful as every warrior contributes to the happiness of our citizens. Therefore, since we can't afford many more units without seriously decreasing the speed of our research, we still need to attack.

Does this all make sense? :hmm:

Thanks, Rik. :) Hopefully we won't let any land on our mainland shores, otherwise we will have no choice but to engage them in battle.

How did the Golden Age affect our treasury? We need to upgrade some mainland units to MI quickly incase this happens.

Thanks, Rik. So the goal is to zoom to Chivalry and leave our outdated Warriors in the field? Do you really think our forces will be able to hold out?

That's at least 12-15 turns of maintaining the status quo militarily with no gold to do anything about it. For fairness, can you give me the numbers if we upped our tax to 80%? Unless it is a substantial increase in gpt(at least 200g), then the rush to Mono may be the way to go.

Very good, very good. :)

Btw: I only suggested Goonie should write it so we could send it in the mail, not that he should send it himself. ;)

Rik, I see you have already sent it!

You made me proud! Even I could not have been a more lovable jackass!

Keep in mind that I am always here if you need me. I just need a little bit of warning!

13 for, 2 against. One of the two was our own president. :hmm:
I was the other. My reason the attitude that the other nations might have towards us because our actions. I would have prefered to have them declare, but that is much trickier, so maybe the right choice was made. The decision has been made, and we will have to abide by it, for good and hopefully not bad. I wonder why the Pres voted against it?
