"Augustus Model" is really Julius Caeser

Right down to the "Julius Caeser" receding hariline and brush forward thinning hair!

Take a look at any of the JC busts, and the CGI model, this guy is Julius and he looks nothing like Octavian (Augustus).

Seems like Firaxis paid someone to make a JC CGI and then changed their mind to put Augustus in the game instead, too bad they did not feel like paying for a new CGI!

I tend to agree although the only basis of comparison are a handful of statues from when he was apparently late 20s(?) to late 30s(?)

looks pretty close to busts of Augustus Caesar to me. The hair style was common. His hairline isn't receding that much. He's not a bleached blonde like he was in Civ IV. The structure of the face itself is fine.
