[R&F] Autocracy : What counts as a "government building"?

Buildings in the Government Plaza, but apparently not the district itself.

I have no proof in-game, but it is likely each of the 3 building tiers that are possible in the government plaza district.

Thats a pretty lackluster bonus then...and it doesnt seem to work for the intelligence agency at least (you dont get an extra spy or anything).

Looking at the xml file, i think it just adds +1 to all yields for each city. Not sure though.

It also has 4 subject requirement set IDs: BUILDING_IS_PALACE, BUILDING_IS_TIER1, BUILDING_IS_TIER2, BUILDING_IS_TIER3

But the government plaza buildings dont exactly give yields?

I mean, look at the intelligence agency. You dont get 2 spies as autocracy.

Oh that explains a lot, I thought yield meant stuff like +1 amenity from audience chamber, etc.

Still pretty weak though.

Here's a readout of what Autocracy does in table form. Just for kicks I left in all the other governments in case you want to see the values. I didn't break down the individual Requirements in the SubjectRequirementSetID field, but they should mostly be pretty explanatory.

I guess it kind of depends on how you think of it. Autocracy in the era it's available is the same as getting a +12 yield tile and a free Citizen to work it. Late game the Policy card is +24. Not incredible but not bad either. I think if you could literally see that tile on the board map people would think it was overpowered LOL.

Yes, and put that card next to your +2 gold per trade route when you only have 1-3 trade routes and you realise it’s not at all stupid.
Also your green cards are not strong at this part of the game but the red cards are

Its like +2 to all yields. Total. Doesnt scale very well compared to oligarchy/classical republic, especially when the game is all about going wide and spamming cities.

The trade route yield cards scale very well and are a huge source of gold one you get a few trade routes up and running.

yeah, but two or three of All The Things! early is pretty good.

I'd imagine that modern enlightened societies aren't so keen on glorifying their despotic past.
