Automatic legendary culture problem

I just reinstalled civ4, warlords and bts and there seems to be an issue. As soon as I, or any civ, builds a city, the next turn it automatically gets legendary culture status. Whats going on? Is there anything I can do to fix that?

Oh crap. After applying a bit of the scientific method, I've discovered the actual nature of the problem. The Marathon setting seems not to have applied correctly after installing bts. In the menu itself is says "TXT_GAMESPEED_MARATHON..." (or something similar.) I haven't as of yet come across any other issues with the patch to Bts but I'm sure there will be others. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled BtS, is there anything else that I can do to make it run properly?
