I've been searching for about 30 mins and havent found the answer: how do you set the mod to autosave every turn, i've looked at the BUG and game options but nothing there. So: how is it possible? (also: is it possible to set it to autosave at the end of the turn?)

Also i'm past the medieval ages and starting to get MAFs on a huge map more and more often. My specs: P Dualcore E5200, 2 gb RAM, Ati HD2600 512 MB vid, Windows 7 32 bit. I've tried the CFF explorer and affinity setting tricks, have set the virtual memory to 3 gigs but nothing seems to help. The error message is "bad memory allocation". Does anyone have any tips, also would it help to tone down the graphics?

1. Go to BtS INI file in Documents/My Games/Beyond the Sword folder.
Go down to the line that say something about changing autosave frequency and change the number there.

2. Play on smaller maps that default to fewer civilizations :). After you lower all your graphics as low as possible, there is nothing more you can do.

You can desactivate storms, it will push back the MAF pbm.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\your name\My Documents\My Games, open "Civilization.ini" with notepad. Scroll down to the lines that read:

; The maximum number of autosaves kept in the directory before being deleted.
MaxAutoSaves = 5
; Specify the number of turns between autoSaves. 0 means no autosave.
AutoSaveInterval = 0

You can put the number of autosaves you want kept in your folder on the first line, then it will write over them (but not the initial save) and how often you want it to autosave on the second. Then save the file and restart the game. If you change it with the game client open, it won't do anything until the next time you load Beyond the Sword. Have fun!
