i was thinking of this recently and maybe CFC needs a Cust. Av. forum or archives, because it can be hard to find a pic of something under 65 x 65.

suggestions and ridicule welcome

Maybe a Graphics Forum in general, where people could request avatars, have computer art contests, show off art and stuff, and more. I would certainly participate.

yes thats along the same lines i was thinking

I don't think your dream is going to become truth.

I don't either. Now that I have 300 posts I can have a custom avatar. But it was to big so I just included it in a post and someone resized, so thats not the problem for me. The problem is my computer doesn't have JPEG so I have to wait till monday to add it.:( Unless.....

but its hard to find one under 65 x 65, and i cant resize, but why would it be unlikely?

What do you mean, and do you know what you don't know? :hmm: The best way to make an avatar is in .gif format (E g; my avatar is 2 kB in .gif and 10 kB in .jpg), and you can save things in .gif in Paint. :)

A graphics Forum in general is a good idea. I could post my Windows Desktop Theams there.

You can d/load a program called Irfanview which allows you to resize and reformat pictures. Thats what I did for my avatar.
Plus it's free too!

I've noticed that posters are now bringing their avatar threads to Site Feedback, instead of OT (where they'd eventually be deleted, once purpose is served)... :hmm:

To the question, not likely, for obvious reasons.

Simply post a picture here and someone will resize it for you... I use ACDSEE, but there are a myriad of other image editors.

I just want some where I can put the Windows desktop Theams that I have made. A graphics forum would be perfect for that.

I have a 7 yeart old computer that is a peice of junk. It's slow on, AOL, Civ, starting up, just about everything. I have a intel pentium 2 not a 4. Parents claim that it's just too expensive to buy a new one (yet we could by 8 computers nowadays for the price of the two we own  ) It doesn't even come with GIF or JPEG. My school on the other hand has JPEG and 1 year old computers (about five Gateways and 800000 Macs:rolleyes: I prefer the Gateways only problem is can't acess the school server or e-mail on the Gateways) I have a study hall first thing Monday, and the room has several computers in it.

you just dont know how to use macs well yet- they are abetter computer then gateways, or any windows based stuff (even though i have a gateway...), the only prob is that there is very little in the way of cool games that come out for them first, not to mention mass compatablity stuff with the average school computer (my school has no macs for instance, while my hous has two... an older one, and a newer flat screen one, while my gateway is P-3....)

macs are an awesome machine, one of the best, if not the best out there....

I would avidly support a graphics forum, because it would give me an audience for my personal political comics - Peace, Love, and Happiness. I posted them once or twice on the site, I'd love to post show them to alot of people.
